I’m off to the Lodi Crane Festival for a weekend of watching Sandhills on their wintering ground. The Greater Sandhills share the wetlands of the Central Valley for a few months with thousands of migrant Lesser Sandhills from Canada and Alaska. It’s super impressive! The festival accepted the following photo and sumi painting to their art show, so the opening on Friday night should be great fun.
